Bio

Don Scott Macdonald was recently selected by the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art as one of 40 most influential painters on the West Coast, an accomplishment for a painter who returned to the medium after careers as a studio musician, graphic designer and art director. After a studio rehearsal accident caused Don to lose much of his hearing, he revisited his passion for painting and has since appeared in group and solo shows in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as nationally. His work is held by collectors and corporate collections in the US and internationally.

Born in San Francisco, Don holds degrees from CSUC and the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. Both his home and studio are now in Denver, Colorado.
